A classic sports model that was in production for about a decade, the GMT-Master ref. 16700 marked the end of an era in the story of the famous Rolex dual time pilot watch. Rolex introduced the GMT-Master 16700 in 1988, five years after the company had already released the GMT Master II.
A one owner example supplied complete as purchased from new. The watch is an overall good condition. A polish would restore the watch to a like new state, which can be done on request.
This example features nice thick lugs, a lovely insert with a blue showing the slightest hint of purple and the read fading to a lovely pinkish tone.
The original tritium dial is spotless with the markers evenly fading to just that little bit of creaminess.
It is supplied in it's original inner and outer box, correct for the period, together with its original warranty papers dated 1993.
The watch has 10 links and fits up to a 20,5cm wrist.
